What brands do we trust? There might be a lot of new releases, because as we all know, we have been increasingly advanced when it comes to technology. But we should also remember that innovation, ambition and complications go hand in hand. It’s very hard to look for products that have maintained good quality throughout the years, which is the reason why we only trust a few of them. Sure, we occasionally try other products, but we always come back to the ones that have proven to be worth the money.
So, going back to technology, as I have said, we only trust a handful of brands. This is because they have shown that no matter how innovative people can get nowadays, almost like creating something out of thin air, they do not succumb to shortcuts and cost-cutting. They make sure that they give us what we deserve, which is premium quality. So here are 5 of the computer brands that we put our faith in.
First we have multinational computer hardware and electronics company, Asus. This company is based in Taipei, Taiwan. They have appeared in Business Week a couple of times as a part of "InfoTech 100” and "Asia’s top 10 IT companies.” They also ranked number one in quality service in Wall Street Journal Asia, and they are currently distributing their products all over the world. They have a total brand value of 1.324 billion dollars and they also ranked number one in the IT Hardware category of the 2008 Taiwan Top Ten Global Brands Survey.
Next is a company that originated in K?nan, Minato, Tokyo, Japan. This company is called Sony. They are one of the leading manufacturers of electronic products for the consumer and professional markets. They have created a few of our favorite household entertainment appliances and gaming consoles, and they have also ventured into computer technologies. Surely, they have been around for long enough to prove that this is a company that will last, and adapt along the way.

Another company is an American computer hardware subsidiary of Dell, Inc. And it mainly assembles third party components into desktops and laptops with custom enclosures. The name for the company was chosen due to the founder’s fondness of the American TV Series, "The X-files.” Yes, you’ve guessed it, Alienware. They’ve been established since 1996, and after being acquired by Dell, they have since been the leading brand of computers when it came to gaming. And its "sci-fi” style also comes in handy, as it was designed with hardware and keyboard lights, which makes it such an awesome gadget. Their products have also been featured in the hit TV series "Chuck.”
Next is a Chinese multinational personal technology company, which was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988 under Legend, its previous name. We all now know this brand as Lenovo. This company is the world’s second largest PC maker and markets the ThinkPad line of personal computers and notebooks (laptops), and ThinkCentre line of desktops. These brands were merged together as a part of Lenovo when they acquired IBM’s personal computer business. They market their products directly to their consumers and they have proven to be one of the best computer brands in the world.

And last, but surely not the least, we can never forget to add Apple to the list. This company is surely one of the most reliable brands of laptops and personal computers, or in the "iLanguage,” we call them iMacs. The line of laptops created by Apple is called MacBook. This company has been around for almost four decades and they continue to serve the globe through creating new and state-of-the-art computers, that I know we all love and adore. Need I say more? I’m sure we all know this brand, and there is no need to further explain why people continue to follow and admire the innovations of this company.
So there you have it, five of the most favored brands in terms of portable laptops. We all need to make sure that the materials we buy are always worth it. Whether they are cheap, but efficient, or if they are quite expensive, but we are sure of its quality, make sure your gadgets are worth every penny spent.
